Presentation
In this eighth edition, CNEG seeks the dissemination of information generated within research centers, by means of lectures, articles and Exchange of experience between the academy and organizations, a situation that is ensured by the diverse profile of the public that has been accompanying this conference.
It is understood that only the absorption of knowledge by Brazilian organizations can create the necessary critical mass to lead changes into our society. Therefore, the realization of the conference characterizes itself as an opportunity to disseminate knowledge among its attendees, academics and representatives from several Brazilian organizations.
The intention is to promote the dissemination and the integration of the knowledge for Corporate Sustainability, through lectures, workshops, presentation of scientific articles and other activities that allow management practices and experiences to be explored.
Purposes
CNEG’s accomplishment allows the dissemination of knowledge generated by institutions from all over the country and enables the discussion regarding extremely important issues for the development of the country, being of social, technical or managerial nature.
Therefore, we hope to offer society the management tools to enable a new social dynamics based on respect and social inclusion.
Mission
To promote the dissemination and integration of the knowledge for Corporate Sustainability.
Nature
CNEG will approach themes related to Corporate Sustainability, besides the presentation of submitted articles selected for the conference.
The subject area and the modus operandi were defined by the Conference Coordinators, who will take charge of enabling the performance of the activities suggested. Therefore, we invite specialists to be part of it by giving their significant contribution, which will add up to those from the many scientific articles that will be presented.
Iniciative
Due to the current demands affecting companies regarding the Management of their performance, a group of professors and researchers from UFF’s(Universidade Federal Fluminense) MSG Systems Management Masters department coordinated by NITS Núcleo de Inovação e Tecnologia para a Sustentabilidade (Innovation and Technology for Sustainability Nucleus), detected the need of an event in which there could be an exchange of information about relevant themes connected to Business Management. For that matter, the event seeks to approach themes related to Quality Management, Economic and Finance Management, Corporate Sustainability and Environmental Management, Occupational Health and Safety Management & Ergonomics, Ethics e Social Responsibility, Production Management, Product Management, Operational Research, Organizational and Strategic Management, Organizational Knowledge Management and Management Systems Education.
Therefore, the initiative to stage CNEG arises from the latent demand from academic and business environment, in need of theoretical and practical knowledge in Business Management.
Target Audiences
Representatives from the business management community, from higher education institutions from all over the country, from research centers, agencies and government bodies, graduate and post graduate students and representatives from welfare NGOs will attend the Seventh National Conference on Management Excellence.
1000 people are expected.

Goals
Nowadays we coexist with a pace of change never seen before by any society, and we are on the eve of the New Era. This Era was defined as the “information society” and consists of exchanging manufacture by “mentalfacture”, the first one regarding the physical performance in a productive process has key importance, and the second is the use of the human being intrinsic knowledge aimed at generating wealth and empowerment in a productive process, opposed to manufacture.
The specific goals of this Conference are:
To approve 300 scientific-technological articles, from which 150 will be presented in Technical Session and 150 others on banners.
To reach 1000 attendees.
To count on guest attendees from national and international research and study institutions and renowned companies, among lecturers and speakers.
To contribute to the continuation of the development of management technologies based on sustainable development principles, Agenda 21, Millennium Development Goals, SA 8000, ISO 26000 among other scientific and legal frameworks targeted at social and environmental responsibility and eco-efficiency.
